    Afghan Cricket Team Beats Kenya
    Written by Quqnoos.com
    Tuesday, 06 July 2010 16:59

Afghan national cricket team, after victory over Kenya, entered the next round of Division One Cricket Tournament

Kenya started the match, and scored 234 runs, which became the target for Afghanistan.

Afghan cricket team played a thrilling match, and won the game by completing the target with nine players out.

The Division One competitions are being played in Holland, in which cricket teams from Afghanistan, Holland, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and Kenya are competing to reach the 11 best cricket teams of the world. . . .

The Afghan Cricket team, which includes players who learnt the game in dusty refugee camps near Pakistan’s border, entered the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup games in West Indies for the first time, but were defeated in their second match against South Africa, ending their involvement in the IIC World Cup.

Afghan cricketers believe they have learnt lessons playing with the great cricket teams of the world in the Twenty20 Cricket matches, and are practising more to have a better participation in the next Cricket World Cup.

Cricket is a new and unpopular game in Afghanistan, and the Afghan Olympics Committee is planning to prepare conditions for the development of this game in the future.
